Lately, I’ve started using my Pinterest account a whole lot more. I’ve been trying to get more creative with the girls. I tried (and failed at) two play dough recipes. But just the other day, the girls and I successfully made Fairy Dough. The girls helped measure and stir and all that. It was super easy and it only took: ½ cup of hair conditioner, 1 ¼ cups cornstarch, and some food coloring. Mix the three together and that’s it. Super duper easy! (Check out this blog post for troubleshooting).
Fairy dough was kinda like play dough, but it was silkier and lighter. The girls loved it! And I think they even got Papa playing with them for a bit too. I’m totally a rookie at this blogging thing and didn’t get a close-up picture of the dough…oops! We did keep it out for several hours and it started to get dry. I read that if you add a bit more conditioner, then it’ll soften right up again. Definitely recommend this, especially if you have some old conditioner like this one that seems to last forever. We’ll be making this again 🙂
